Two pools. Two protections.

Credits accrue into two separate pools tied to the specific systems they protect. Water pool credits apply to water system replacements. HVAC pool credits apply to heating and cooling replacements. Credits in each pool can only be redeemed for covered replacements within that pool.

The switching cost is real. If you call another company for your water heater replacement, you forfeit $900 in credits. Even if they quote $200 less, you're losing $700 net — and starting back at zero.

At every inspection, your technician photographs covered equipment, refreshes tamper-evident tape, and updates your home profile. This documentation protects your credits — and gives you a clear record of every recommendation we've made.

Your credits are protected as long as we maintain your systems.

Think of it like a manufacturer warranty — if someone else works on the covered equipment, we can no longer guarantee its condition or stand behind the reliability of your accumulated service history. Most minor repairs don't affect your credits at all.

Voids Water Systems Pool

If an outside contractor performs any of the following:

  • Water heater repair or replacement
  • Water line repairs (main line or interior)
  • Drain line repairs (structural or pipe repairs — not simple clearing)

Voids HVAC Pool

If an outside contractor performs any of the following:

  • Major HVAC part repair (compressor, coil, blower motor)
  • Any HVAC system replacement
  • Refrigerant work

Does NOT void credits

The following are too minor or outside the core covered systems to affect credit status:

  • Any repair under $200 invoice value
  • Simple drain clearing or snaking
  • Faucet or fixture repairs
  • Toilet repairs
  • Garbage disposal repairs
  • Hose bibb repairs
  • Thermostat replacement (unless part of larger HVAC work)

Good-Faith Exception

If a system fails when we couldn't respond in time, we won't hold that against you. Members who acknowledge the outside work and recommit to the relationship are eligible for a one-time credit preservation exception, at our discretion.

Refer a friend. You both earn credits.

When a friend you refer signs up and completes their first inspection, both of you receive $25 in bonus credits — split equally between your Water and HVAC pools. No limit on referrals.

Membership Questions

When do my credits start accruing?
Credits begin accruing immediately upon account creation — not upon first inspection. You start building value the day you join.
What happens if the first inspection isn't completed within 60 days?
If your first inspection isn't completed within 60 days of account creation, credit accrual pauses — it does not reset. Once you complete the inspection, accrual resumes from where it left off.
Do my credits ever expire?
Credits never expire as long as your account remains active and your annual inspections are current. If an inspection lapses, accrual pauses until it's completed.
What happens if I use another company for a repair covered by my pool?
Minor repairs — anything under $200, simple drain clearing, faucet or fixture work, toilet repairs, garbage disposal, hose bibb — do not affect your credits at all. Major repairs on covered systems (water heater, HVAC compressor or coil, main water lines, refrigerant work) can void credits in the relevant pool. The Credit Protection section lists every scenario.
What is the good-faith exception?
We understand that emergencies happen. If a system fails when we couldn't respond in time and you had to call someone else, we won't hold that against you. Members who acknowledge the outside work and recommit to the exclusive relationship are eligible for a one-time credit preservation exception. This is at our discretion and requires a conversation with our team.
What does the 10% member discount apply to?
The 10% discount applies to service calls — demand repairs and smaller part replacements such as fittings, toilet components, cartridges, and similar. It does not apply to equipment replacements or installation projects.
What do the annual inspections cover?
Spring AC Tune-Up (March–May): HVAC cooling system check, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, coil cleaning. Fall Heat & Plumbing Tune-Up (September–November): heating system check, water heater flush, plumbing connections, winterization prep. Both are included in membership. Non-members may purchase them separately — and at least one annual inspection is required to keep credit accrual active.
